Bull Durham Tribute, Bark in the Park, Meet the Team on Schedule for Six-Game Stanza
The Durham Bulls open a six-game homestand on Tuesday, June 11, when they take on the Toledo Mud Hens for three games and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders for three games. The stretch features Lollygagger Night, Bark in the Park, a Meet the Team event and two fireworks shows.
The homestand opens against the Toledo Mud Hens on Tuesday, June 11 at 7:05 p.m. with the game presented by Mike D’s BBQ.
On Wednesday, June 12 the Bulls and Detroit Tigers top affiliate meet once again at 7:05 p.m. with Bark in the Park presented by Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospitals. That night fans can bring their furry friend to the DBAP, with human tickets costing $9 and canine tickets costing $5. All proceeds from dog tickets benefit Second Chance Pet Adoptions.
Durham closes its series with Toledo on Thursday, June 13 at 7:05 p.m. with the contest presented by Mike D’s BBQ. Thursday’s game is an Afforda-BULL Eats night, as select beer will be $5, and fans can get $2 hot dogs and $3 pizza slices all night long, among other discounted food options. Thursday is also Swim Night, as the DBAP will welcome swim teams from around the Triangle for an evening of fun.
On Friday, June 14 the DBAP will host Lollygagger Night when the Bulls open a three-game set against the New York Yankees Triple-A affiliate. The 7:05 p.m. contest is presented by EmergeOrtho, and the Bulls will transform into the Durham Lollygaggers for the affair as the team celebrates the film Bull Durham, and game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Autism Society of NC. Following the game will be a Friday Night Fireworks shows presented by bioMerieux, and local food trucks American Meltdown and Baton Rouge will be in attendance all night long serving their delicacies.
The series against the Baby Bombers continues with a 6:35 p.m. contest presented by Michael & Son on Saturday, June 15. Following the weekend showdown will be a Saturday Night Fireworks show presented by Window World.
The homestand ends at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, June 16 against the RailRiders with a Meet the Team event and Father’s Day celebration. Gates will open at 3 p.m. that afternoon as fans will get a chance to get autographs and take photos with different Bulls players and coaches at the Meet the Team event presented by Allegiant Air. Additionally, fans will be allowed to have a Father’s Day catch in the outfield until 4 p.m. Following the game, presented by Align Technology, children get to show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature’s Twist.
