“It’s not December, but the WRAL tower lights were shining brightly as I left the station last night. And, I smiled.”
– WRAL-TV News Producer Kelly Riner

Capitol Broadcasting is joining those seeking light in a dark time.  In a trend circulating on social media, people are putting up their Christmas lights to spread cheer during the coronavirus pandemic.  WRAL-TV, American Tobacco and Rocky Mount Mills all showed their solidarity to raise spirts and thank those on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis by lighting their towers on Thursday night, March 17, 2020.  The Durham Bulls joined in by lighting the infield, mound and homeplate in blue. The towers  and field will light each night through next Friday.
