Veteran sales leader Shuneca Harrington has been named WRAL-TV/FOX 50 Director of Sales, effective April 20, 2020. Harrington will join the broadcast arm of Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC) which operates WRAL News, the most-watched news team in the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville television market with a long history of ratings dominance.  Harrington comes to WRAL from Columbus, GA where she led the sales team for CBS affiliate WRBL.

Shuneca is no stranger to the Raleigh area. She started her career as an account executive in Raleigh, NC and quickly became Digital Sales Manager before being promoted to Local Sales Manager at then NBC station WNCN.  After 13 years in the Raleigh market, she moved within her company to Portsmouth, VA as Local Sales Manager for WAVY/WVBT.  With a proven track record of success, Shuneca was then promoted again within the same company to become the General Sales Manager at WRBL in Columbus, GA.

On joining the WRAL/FOX 50 team, Shuneca said, “I am excited to join the industry renowned team of leaders, innovators and pioneers at Capitol Broadcasting, WRAL and FOX 50. I look forward to building upon an already impressive commitment to serve our advertisers, partners and community.”

WRAL-TV Vice President and General Manager Joel Davis on Harrington joining WRAL/FOX 50, “We have a strong tradition of providing superior service to our clients and advertisers. Shuneca already knows many of our key partners.  We know that her focus on strong client relationships and stellar track record of sales leadership will help us continue to build on that strong tradition.”

Shuneca earned a degree in Mass Communications from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. She and her husband Ron are both excited to return to the city where they first met. They look forward to reconnecting with friends and the community.
