Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC) has launched Capitol B Creative Studios— a new agency that will offer clients in the Triangle and beyond strategic brand, marketing, and creative services.
CBC has been offering creative and digital marketing services through its digital marketing agency, WRAL Digital Solutions, since 2017. However, the needs of clients have continued to evolve, and CBC realized there was an unmet need in the market.
“This is really the culmination of work we have been doing and the feedback we have been getting from our clients over the past three years,” said Chris Weatherly, General Manager of WRAL Digital Solutions and Capitol B Creative Studios. “They need more help. If 2020 showed us anything, it is that the world can change in an instant. Brands and businesses must be able to adapt quickly and authentically. They must know who they are, communicate their story effectively, and constantly engage with their customers. We know this can be a challenge at the local and regional level and with our unique agency and media background we believe we are perfectly suited to help.”
Capitol B is not replacing WRAL Digital Solutions but will serve as a sister agency with a primary focus of working with clients in three core areas – business intelligence, brand identity, and comprehensive creative.
CBC has quietly been building a team with strong agency and strategy backgrounds to help meet these evolving needs. In 2019, CBC hired creative director Jeff Wood to start laying the groundwork for Capitol B. Wood has worked with brands such as Samsung, Microsoft, Pepsi, Covergirl, the NBA, and Mountain Dew and his vision has been instrumental in the launch of Capitol B Creative Studios.
“The experience, the talent and the enthusiasm of this group is awesome! It fuels a high standard. But really all we think about is making excellent work one project at a time. Brick by brick, we build excellent brands,” said Wood, Creative Director of Capitol B.
