The WRAL Gardens are open and welcoming visitors, with COVID safety restrictions, this spring.  A variety of flowers and plants are exploding into their spring colors.

“The Azaleas are almost in full bloom,” said Corp Chief Horticulturalist & Property Manager Andrew Plunkett.  “Next week should be beautiful.”

Visitors are required to wear masks and practice social distancing while in the WRAL Gardens.  Bathrooms are currently closed to the public.

The WRAL garden crew has cleaned up the paths for visitors.  They also completed drainage work to prepare the gardens for eventual expansion towards Centennial Parkway.

Weddings are also being held in the Gardens with spots at 2pm and 5pm on both Saturdays and Sundays with a maximum of 100 guests allowed.   Each wedding has a 3-hour time slot, to allow for 1 ½ hours before and after the wedding for the party to set up and break down the chairs provided.  Find out which dates are currently available and submit a request for a reservation on the WRAL Gardens website.
