NC State MagazineLeigh Kathryn Bonner, the founder of Bee Downtown, is featured as the cover story in the Spring 2021 issue of the NC State Alumni Association magazine.  Written by Bill Krueger, “Meant To Bee” is presented in cartoon style by Monika Melnychuk.

In the piece Bonner talks about her first customers, American Tobacco and Burts Bee’s, an ATC tenant.  She also talks about tending bees at WRAL-TV. Capitol Broadcasting is proud to host some of Bonner’s hives, and to have been a part of helping her business get started.

A fourth generation beekeeper, Bonner now has beehives on the sites of corporations from Atlanta, GA, to Richmond, VA.
