CBC Vice President of Radio Brian Maloney recently sat down with Adam Jacobson to talk about innovation and forward thinking at Capitol Broadcasting’s radio stations.  Jacobson’s InFOCUS Podcast featuring Maloney dropped on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

“Innovation.  It’s not a word commonly used by an owner of radio stations,” wrote Jacobson in the episode introduction.  “But Capitol Broadcasting Co is unique, in many ways.”

Early in the discussion, Jacobson asked Maloney what it is like to be a leader at CBC.

“I think the thing that I like most about what I do, what we do, is that we’re encouraged and really expected to innovate every day at all levels at the division in our business,” responded Maloney. “Everybody’s expected to come to work every day looking forward and not backwards.”

Maloney and Jacobson talk about the culture supporting creative thinking at CBC.

“We’ve got a really, really talented team of forward-thinking people,” said Maloney.
