WRAL-TV proudly sponsored the African American Cultural Festival held in Raleigh over the Labor Day weekend.

“We had a record-breaking crowd both on Fayetteville Street and at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, and this would not have happened without your station’s continued coverage,” said John Chavis Community Center Director Grady Bussey in thanks to the station.

WRAL-TV Anchors Ken Smith, Chris Lovingood and Chris Lea all pitched in as emcees during the event.  Bussey called their contributions as emcees “legendary!”

“Their interaction with the crowd was magical and had a downhome feel!” he said.
