The smartest game on television is back for season 27! Yes, Brain Game is back with a new season and new location!
The Brain Game set pieces you know and love, have relocated from WRAL-TV Studio C to our band new location in the lecture hall on the Wake Tech Northern Campus. The new space provides a comfortable “home away from home” plus plenty of space for a live audience.
With the help of WRAL engineers Allen Palmer, Fred Kelly, and Pete Sockett, we’ve built out a full on-site remote production “studio” that includes 5 cameras, 8 microphones, and a small but mighty portable aa-in-one production switcher. All this prep work has allowed the Local Production team(Randy Mews, Bill DiNicola, Don Ursich, & Scott Reid) to execute each game as if we didn’t miss a beat!
Here are a few pics from behind the scenes.
The one thing that has not changed…the questions are difficult! See for yourself…
If a cubic polynomial is multiplied by a quadratic polynomial, what is the degree of the polynomial that is their product?
Some worms are flat, but some are round. What is the name for the phylum of roundworms, from the Latin for “like a thread”?
Tupac died…in 1572 – Tupac Amaru, that is. He was the last emperor of what indigenous people that were ruled from what is now present-day Peru?
The season runs through April. I
if you are curious about the answers to the questions above…tune in to Brain Game beginning Saturday November 19th after the Raleigh Christmas parade!
Thanks to WRAL-TV’s Scott Reid for this Capcom story & for these Capcom photos.
