Big Night In for the Arts returns for third year

The Big Night In for the Arts will be live wherever you watch WRAL on March 9 at 7 p.m.

For the third year in a row, WRAL will team up with arts councils from Chatham, Durham, Orange and Wake Counties for a live event to help benefit the arts community devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Big Night In for the Arts will be live wherever you watch WRAL on March 9 at 7 p.m.

The event will feature performances from local and national talent, including Rissi Palmer, Chatham Rabbits, 2023 Piedmont Laureate Dasan Ahanu, actress Beth Leavel, Larry & Joe and Cost ‘n Mayor.

The one-hour show will also address the impact of COVID-19 has had on the arts and highlight the missions of the four organizations that lead and support the Triangle’s arts infrastructure.

Donations will be accepted via the Big Night In website. Money raised from the event go toward arts programming, initiatives for equity in the arts and artist/arts organizations’ relief.

The first two Big Night In for the Arts also aired on WRAL and raised $615,000 for local arts.
