American Tobacco recently announced the lineup for a new concert series with Duke Arts Presents, formerly known as Duke Performances. The 2023 Duke Arts at American Tobacco kicks off on Wednesday, September 6, with Dawn Landes from 6:30 to 8:30pm under the iconic Lucky Strike Water tower.
Dawn Landes is a force to be reckoned with. This multi–talented American singer–songwriter, musician, and producer has five full–length albums and five EPs under her belt. From touring with roots music band Hem and Sufjan Stevens to producing and engineering music in New York City, her unique blend of musical talent and production expertise has landed her nationwide acclaim and partnerships with giants of American roots music.
The New Yorker describes Landes’ voice as “quiet, flush with breath, almost conversational, but powerfully anchored. It filled the room.”
