WRAL-FM welcomed women of the Triangle to MIX 101.5’s First Annual Lipstick Luncheon on Saturday, May 31, 2008. This exclusive event featured experts in the fields of health, beauty, and fashion all for a great cause – a portion of proceeds will support Interact of Wake County. Interact is a private, non-profit, United Way agency that provides safety, support, and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault.
The First Annual Lipstick Luncheon was held at the Hilton North Raleigh, and hosted 450 women in attendance.
The event kicked off with Mainstage Makeovers by Generations Salon & Day Spa. Three people received the makeovers: Diane Ramsey, MIX midday host; Ebele Achonu, Interact Advocate; and domestic abuse survivor, and Ginger Lorenzi, a nurse a Rex Healthcare.
Body language expert Jan Hargrave served as the keynote speaker. Hargrave is a frequent talk show guest and the author of Let Me See Your Body Talk, Freeway of Love, Judge the Jury, and Strictly Business.
MIX 101.5’s Sheri Logan, Diane Ramsey, Vanna Fox & Jami Caskey served as hosts for the inaugural event. WRAL-TV’s David Crabtree, Gerald Owens, Lynda Loveland & Brian Shrader also made special appearances.
