The Triangle Area Chapter of the American Red Cross thanks CBC for its Silver Sponsorship of the 2007 Red Cross Ball. |
CBC supports the American Red Cross with quarterly blood drives at WRAL-TV for all employees, but CBC finds other ways to help this important organization as well. CBC was recently honored for its Silver sponsorship of the 16th Annual Red Cross Ball. Dubbed “An International Affair” the 2007 event took place on Saturday, March 10th at the Embassy Suites in Cary.
Presented by the American Red Cross, the evening honored the accomplishments of the Triangle chapter in the past year as well as 2007 Humanitarian Award Recipient Dr. Bill Atkinson.
“Tonight we join together to celebrate the work of the Red Cross as it touches and saves lives in your community, across America and around the world…” said John Eastwood, board chair for the American Red Cross, Triangle Area Chapter. “The movement remains dedicated to serving humanity while always observing neutrality…”
The evening included a silent auction, dinner and dancing to the sounds of “Fantasy.” All of the proceeds from the event benefited the American Red Cross, Triangle Area Chapter.
