El Toro Pale Ale, with this special Bulls label, will be on tap at the DBAP beginning August 10th. |
A new, locally-brewed beer will be on tap at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park beginning Thursday.
El Toro Pale Ale, brewed by Raleigh’s Edenton Brewing Company, will premier at the DBAP on August 10th as the Bulls begin a five-game home stand.
“El Toro will further enhance the food and atmosphere at the ballpark,” said Brad Wynn, head brewer. “Edenton Brewing is pleased to add this crisp and refreshing ale to our line-up of locally hand-crafted fine ales and lagers.”

The new draught represents a revival of the El Toro brand. The beer was sold in bottles on a limited basis several years ago. It returns to the menu board with a new recipe and “on tap” availability throughout the ballpark. El Toro Pale Ale will be served at the first and third base beer stands and at Wool E.’s International Grill in the food court.
“We’re making a world class pale ale befitting one of the finest baseball organizations in the country,” Wynn added. “Edenton Brewing Company is proud to partner with the Bulls in bringing back El Toro.”
The Bulls offer 22 beer brands in the can or bottle and 17 on tap. The DBAP boasts a long-draw draught beer system. All draft beer is refrigerated in a central, walk-in beer cooler from which it is piped to the ballpark’s ten concession stands. At the tap, all DBAP brew is served at a consistent, chilling 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
