The Durham Bulls, in conjunction with Mix 101.5 FM and the Hair Cuttery, will hold sixth annual Wool E. Bull’s Birthday Toy Drive on Sunday, July 16th. Fans are encouraged to bring a new toy to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park box office for the team’s 5:00pm game against the Columbus Clippers to receive a special “two for one” offer on tickets for the game. All toys collected will be donated to Duke Children’s Hospital.
“There is no better day to bring the kids to the ballpark,” Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said, “With so many characters here, it’s like Disneyland.”
Festivities for Wool E. Bull’s Birthday include visits from several of Wool E.’s mascot friends, including Stormy from the Carolina Hurricanes, Mr. & Mrs. Wolf from NC State University and a very special appearance by Raymond from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Mascots will be available for pictures at the main gates beginning at 4:00pm and will sign autographs during the game.
The festivities continue later in the game as children are invited to enjoy some birthday cake with Wool E. Bull and his friends followed by Pepsi Kids Run the Bases after the game.
The Bulls box office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm, 9:00am-9:00pm on game days, except Sunday game days where the box office is open from 12:00pm – 7:00pm. Fans wanting to order tickets in advance may do so by calling (919) 956-BULL or online at www.durhambulls.com.
