“American Idol” returns to FOX 50 in January 2005. “American Idol” continues to be a television phenomenon of superlative success in this region. The past two seasons’ American Idol finales were the highest rated non-sports programs to ever air in the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville market with more than half a million viewers each.
