WILM-TV has expanded its reach. WILM-TV now reaches the viewers in the northern beach areas of New Hanover County, Pender and the southern half of Onslow counties thanks to Charter Communications. The cable carrier officially flipped the switch in August, bringing WILM to cable viewers in these additional areas.
New additional cable areas for WILM (on Channel 10) are now in the following communities, equaling 22,500 homes: Holly Ridge, Topsail Beach, Hampstead, Maple Hill, Richlands, North Topsail Beach, Sneads Ferry, Surf City & Scotts Hill.
WILM-TV now covers the beaches from Sneads Ferry all the way to Ocean Isle Beach, near the South Carolina border in cable, putting the station at 86% of all cable homes in the DMA.
“This is really exciting for us,” said WILM-TV Station Manager, Constance Knox. “Our previous estimates were well over 83,000 cable homes. We now reach 105,787. That’s a 27% gain in households.”
