WRAL.com Breaks More Records |
A month after setting a record for page views, WRAL.com has done it again. The Web site registered 4,257,478 page views for the week ending Aug. 31 to break the record it had set in July for page views in a month.
That week’s total gave WRAL.com nearly 26 million page views for August, when the average daily readership also hit a record high. August’s page-view total was 25,890,932 — an all-time high for the Web site– surpassing July’s total by 449,099 page views.
July marked the first time WRAL.com had hit 25 million page views for a single month. Now the Web site has done it two months in a row. WRAL.com should surpass 200 million page views for the year sometime in September — another significant record. That number could be unprecedented among TV news Web sites.
August’s daily page-view average of 835,000 was an all-time high. Entering August, WRAL.com rated No. 1 among TV news Web sites in terms of page views and unique visitors per month.
WRAL.com has surpassed 20 million page views each of the first eight months of 2003. The site did not reach 20 million for any month last year.
WRAL.com enters September with 185,973,486 page views for the year. For all of 2002, WRAL generated 187,774,667.
