WRAL-FM continued          its upward spiral in ratings with the Fall Book for 2002. Numbers skyrocketed          from Fall 2001, making jumps across the board. 
In overall numbers,          Monday through Sunday from 6am to midnight, in the over-12 age group,          WRAL-FM increased its ratings share from 3.7 a year ago to a 5.7 share.          In the 25-54 group, ratings increased from a 4.9 to 6.7 share. MIX took          the #1 slot among women 24-54 with a jump from a 6.3 share one year ago          to a 9.5 share. 
Another huge leap          came in the overall 18-34 category with an increase from 3.2 to 6.8 share.          In women 18-34, MIX took second place in the market with an impressive          jump from a 3.7 share to a 10.9 share. 
“What a difference          a year makes!” said WRAL-FM VP & GM Ardie Gregory. “This Fall Book is          the result of a true team effort from our programming department. As a          group they have worked diligently to make sure every aspect of the radio          station met the expectations of our listeners. This is a fine group of          people who have ‘winning on their minds’ and much of this Fall Book is          the result of their efforts.” 
Impressive ratings          increases came in individual day slots as well. For the morning commute          and the Bill & Sheri Show from 6am to 10am, in persons 25-54, ratings          increased from 6.0 to 7.5. The station came in first in the market with          women 24-54 with an increase from a 7.6 to 10.3 share. Among women 18-34,          MIX took second place in the market with an increase from 5.1 to 12.1          share. 
Middays from 10am          to 3pm, MIX once again hovered near the top of the ratings. In persons          25-54, ratings jumped from a 4.9 to 7.8 share. Among women 25-54, MIX          snagged second place in the market for women 25-54, increasing from a          6.8 share to 11.4. And MIX took first place in the market for women 18-34,          with a tremendous increase in ratings share from 2.9 to 14.8. 
Afternoons for MIX          saw a substantial increase and first place in several areas of the market.          During the 3pm to 7pm time frame, MIX took first place with adults 25-54,          moving from 4.3 to 7.7 share. In women 25-54, MIX also ranked first with          a jump from 5.6 to 11.0 share. And in women 18-34, WRAL-FM increased from          4.9 to 9.5 share.
