Meet the Pelicans & A Boost For Charity
MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Meet the 2001 Myrtle Beach Pelicans on Thursday, April 5 from 6 to 8 PM at Liberty Steakhouse & Brewery in Broadway at the Beach. This event will be the first opportunity for the general public to meet and greet the 2001 Pelicans before the season begins the following night. Admission is free.
All of the players and coaching staff will sign autographs at tables in the outdoor section of the restaurant from 6 to 7 PM. Baseballs with holders will be sold for $7 for autograph seekers. The Pelicans will be introduced individually beginning at 7 PM. Liberty will have happy hour prices on food and beverage throughout the time span of the event. All attendees will have a chance to sign up and win Pelicans prize packages. The official roster will be released on Monday, April 2.
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans Booster Club is supporting The March of Dimes through various efforts. They will be selling T-shirts for $20 on Opening Night in the main concourse of the ballpark or call Jerry Bass (843-918-6079) to purchase a shirt before Opening Night.The Pelicans Pro Shop is selling “sneakers” for $1 each. The Pelicans mascot Splash and two Pelicans players will be at the March of Dimes Walk America at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion on Saturday, April 7 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The Pelicans quest for a third consecutive championship begins on Friday, April 6 at 7:05 PM versus the Winston-Salem Warthogs (Chicago White Sox). There are tickets remaining for this three-game series.
