MIX 101.5’s Two Men and a Mom are on a mission. Sarah King, Bryan Lord & Kyle Smelser are trying to meet everyone in the Triangle with their “RDU A to Z” campaign. They are kicking off the campaign by taking listeners on a brewery tours and what better place to start than CBC’s own Bull Durham Beer Co.
BDBC Special Events Coordinator Ryan Trecartin hosted the MIX group, which included over a dozen listeners and the Two Men and a Mom team.
“The group came through on Friday night, and during the brewery ‘tour’ I was able to give them a little history on BDBC and how we came to be, starting with first beers and what we can offer during the season and off season,” explained Trecartin. “I walked them through our brew process, had an open chat Q&A and sampled our Kolsch.”
The crew met up in Durham on Friday evening, March 9, 2018.
“After the history and beer process discussion, we headed over to the Bullpen to sample some of our other seasonal offerings and the beer battered pretzels with Kolsch beer cheese,” said Trecartin.
The MIX crew and their listeners gave the BDBC rave reviews.
“We had a great time and learned a lot,” said WRAL-FM Promotions Director Jason Newton.
Trecartin agreed with Newton’s assessment of the evening and enjoyed having RDU A to Z start at Bull Durham Beer Co.
“We had a great time!” she said. “It’s always nice to be able to connect with our customers, in these settings – to really give them more of a sense of who we are, and why we love what we do!”
