Schoolkids Records and WUNC Help Develop Lineup Aimed to Celebrate
NC’s Favorite Bands + RMM’s 200th Anniversary
Rocky Mount Mills’ successful Mills Music Sessions returns in April with a new series of free concerts designed to bring the community together at Eastern North Carolina’s fast-emerging premier mixed-use destination.
The Mills, recognizing its 200th anniversary this year, is once again partnering with Schoolkids Records and WUNC-FM to book an eclectic lineup of perennial favorites including Nantucket, Dillon Fence, John Howe & Rosewood Bluff/Magnolia Collective; and bringing back a couple favorites, An All-Star Music Maker Blues Revue and The Connells!
The concert experience will be open to the public and family friendly. Concerts will take place on the Mills’ scenic lawn — the better to enjoy the campus and historic sights, including the iconic Battle House. Bring a lawn chair, pick up dinner from one of the restaurants or food trucks on campus and enjoy an evening of music and community fun.
