A new Durham Bulls Athletic Park attendance record was set on July 4, 2013, as a paid crowd of 11,754 took in the Durham Bulls vs. Norfolk Tides game on Independence Day. The mark bests the previous record of 11,674, which was set on July 4, 2010.
Earlier this season, the DBAP drew 11,392 for an ACC Tournament matchup between UNC and NC State. That game is now third on the all-time attendance list.
The Durham Bulls concluded Independence Week at the DBAP on Friday, July 5 with a 7:05pm game against the Norfolk Tides. Fireworks followed that game as well. Tickets are available for the next homestand at the DBAP box office, by phone at 919.956.BULL or online at durhambulls.com.
