DBAP Again Named to PETA’s List of Most Vegetarian-Friendly Minor League Ballparks Bulls Claim Number Two Spot on Organization’s Yearly Ranking |
Durham Bulls Athletic Park has again been named one of the most vegetarian-friendly Minor League ballparks in the country. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) ranked the Durham Bulls’ home park second on their annual list of ten best Minor League stadiums for vegetarians and vegans.
Ranging from black bean veggie burgers to veggie (not chicken) nuggets and hearty tofu burritos, the DBAP’s vegetarian fare continues to grow each season. Offered in a number of concessions stands throughout the ballpark, vegetarian and vegan fans can easily find menu items that fit into their diet. The DBAP has made PETA’s list for each of the seven years it has been issued.
“Virtually every family now includes a vegetarian, and when choosing entertainment, people want to know that their whole family will enjoy the food,” said PETA Associate Director Chris Holbein. “The Durham Bulls Athletic Park is a leader in offering nutritious, humane stadium food.”
The Durham Bulls continue their current homestand tonight against the Indianapolis Indians at 7:05pm. Tickets for all Bulls home games are available at the DBAP box office, online at durhambulls.com or by phone at 919.956.BULL.
