WRAL-TV, MIX 101.5 and American Tobacco all made headlines in Independent Weekly’s Best of the Triangle 2013. Indy Week published the list in the June 5th edition of the magazine.
More than 10,000 readers took the annual poll to come up with these Reader’s Chocie winners.
WRAL-TV Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel took home top accolades in Local Television Personality. His colleagues WRAL-TV Anchors David Crabtree, Bill Leslie and Debra Morgan made the finalist list in the category.
MIX 101.5 made the list of finalists for Best Commercial Radio Station.
American Tobacco made the list of finalists for Best Outdoor Music Venue. Several American Tobacco restaurants were honored as well:
Tyler’s Taproom won Best Draft Beer Selection, and was a finalist in Best Place to Shoot Pool & Best Fries. Cuban Revolution won Best Place to Salsa Dance and was a finalist in the Best Caribbean or Cuban Food.
Tobacco Road Sports Cafe in Diamond View II earned Top Sports Bar, Best Place to Watch Televised ACC Basketball in Durham County and was a finalist for Best Place to Watch Monday Night Football.
The YMCA, including the American Tobacco location, won Best Fitness Club in Durham County. The American Tobacco Barbershop was a finalist in Best Barbershop.
