|
Here to Help: Disaster Relief. A prime-time telethon benefiting Oklahoma tornado victims. Featuring a special presentation: a historic reconstruction of the musical Oklahoma!
This Thursday, May 30, 2013, WRAL-TV will air a commercial-free three hour prime time special, “Here to Help: Disaster Relief.” This 8:00pm – 11:00pm special will benefit the Oklahoma tornado victims.
During those three hours, WRAL will air “Oklahoma!” produced and performed by the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. More than 400 students were involved in this production.
During breaks in the program, WRAL-TV Meteorologists and News Anchors will invite viewers to call in and donate to either the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross. Volunteers from those organizations will be in WRAL-TV’s Studio A taking the phone calls from viewers.
This will also be broadcast live statewide on UNC-EX.
All donations will go to assist tornado victims through the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross.
