Baseball season might be over, but no grass is growing under the hooves of Wool E. Bull. He hit the road all over the Triangle delivering treats to Bulls fans for the hallowed holiday during the final week of October.
DBBC Mascot & Community Relations Coordinator Eric Topolewski shared the scoop on his adventures from the Thursday to Monday concluding with the day of Halloween:
200 pounds of candy, 60 deliveries, 50 cans of silly string, 5 days, 5 costumes, and countless smiles later, 2022 Halloween Wool E. Grams are finished! Hours spent pouring over maps, weird looks at Party City for buying silly string in bulk, and many gas trips to fill the Wool E. Wagon culminated in a fun experience for everyone that purchased.
While not everyone saw the behind the scenes that went into making our Halloween deliveries happen; the utter shock, amazement, and pure joy I had the pleasure of witnessing over the past week was something I wanted to share with everyone.
Mascots bring a sense of fun and entertainment to life that I enjoy first hand every day. Bringing that experience directly to people’s doorstep was nothing short of magical.
Topolewski told Capcom, “It was definitely a lot of work. But so worth it seeing the smiles at the end of the day.”
If you’re bummed because you missed out on Halloween Wool E. Grams, never fear. Durham’s favorite Bull will be hitting the road again for Valentine’s!
Topolewski said, “Be sure to check out our Valentine’s deliveries in February, it makes the perfect gift for that special someone!”
Thanks to DBBC’s Eric Topolewski for these Capcom photos.
