FOX 50 is excited to announce the return of the FOX 50 FAMILY FEST to the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham, Sunday, October 7!
The FOX 50 Family Fest is a free all-day event focusing on family, health, safety, science, education, community awareness, and most importantly family fun!
The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 7 on the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham, from 1pm until 5:00pm.
The highlight of the event will be The Great American Tobacco Duck Race with celebrity emcee & judges, Mark Roberts and WRAL News Anchor Michelle Marsh. Exciting prizes will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place including tickets to see Mary Poppins, Million Dollar Quartet, and Jersey Boys at DPAC, Duke Men’s Basketball tickets, tickets to see the Carolina Hurricanes and the Durham Bulls, and gift certificates for American Tobacco Campus. Proceeds from the Duck Race will benefit local charities.
Families will have the chance to experience live, exotic animals from Noah’s Landing, take part in field games and activities with the YMCA, including basketball at the new outdoor court named “The Y Cage”, experience “Touch Interactive” in Bay 7, enter their children in a Baby Crawling Contest, enjoy live music by Sandbox Kids & Family Fun Band, watch performances by Southern Marching Band, meet Ronald McDonald, Luck E. Duck, Wool E. Bull and Stormy!
