On Thursday, April 26, 2012, 99.9 The Fan and 620 The Buzz hosted their 2nd Annual Draft Battle at Wild Wing Café in Cary. The week prior 620 The Buzz Co-Hosts Mike Maniscalco and Mark Thomas and 99.9 The Fan Co-Hosts Adam Gold and Joe Ovies picked 5 listeners to play on their teams.
Before the teams arrived on Thursday night prepared to make their NFL draft picks, Gold and Ovies hosted their afternoon show at Wild Wing Café. Each pick during the battle was worth 1 to 4 points.
The teams were neck and neck for almost the entire battle – but in the end, team 620 The Buzz (Maniscalco & Thomas) pulled forward to win for the second year in a row. The win was especially sweet for Thomas since it was also his birthday. Everyone had a great time with food, entertainment, prizes and watching the NFL Draft.
