Friday Appears as Guest on NC Spin

Dr. William C. Friday, former President of the UNC system for thirty years and the host of the legendary statewide program North Carolina People, had the tables turned on him recently in studio A at WRAL-TV. Tom Campbell convinced him be interviewed for a special episode of his statewide program NC Spin.
His rare visit created especial excitement as he is considered one of the most distinguished educational figures in our lifetime. He is credited with building the most prestigious higher education system in the country. In addition, on his long running television program, he has introduced viewers to some of the most fascinating North Carolinians the state has produced.

Upon learning that Dr. Friday was in the building, WRAL -TV News Managing Editor Bonnie Moore rushed to greet him. Moore voiced a sentiment that so many would agree.
“He has a unique ability to make whomever he is speaking with feel like they are the most important person in the world during the conversation,” said Moore. “He is truly one of this state and county’s treasures!”
While at the station, WRAL-TV News Legislature Reporter Laura Leslie conducted a interview that will be feature on wral.com.
