Temperatures will get the Triangle feeling like fall, but American Tobacco’s FREE concert series will stick to the lawn on this Friday, September 16th, with Loudon Wainwright III and his daughter, Lucy Wainwright Roche.
With roots in Durham, the elder Wainwright is a world renonwed singer and songwriter. Known for his humorous autobiographical songs, Wainwright has developed quite a cult following over his decades in the music business.
Loudon Wainwright III & his daughter, Lucy Wainwright Roche, will take to the American Tobacco lawn stage on Friday, September 16th. |
Listen to a sneak peak here.
Lucy Wainwright Roche released her first full-length album about a year ago and will open for her father at ATC.
This year American Tobacco has expanded its summer offerings in a family-fun packed On the Lawn Presented by Whole Foods Market. Movies, music and more are free and open to the public.
This year, chowing down ‘on the lawn’ is easier — and tastier — than ever with the introduction of Whole Foods’ Virtual Cafe. Hungry fans can order a customized picnic by visiting a new Web portal: www.atclawnseries.com.
Come join the fun at American Tobacco for the next FREE concert on Friday, May 27th. The Freight Hoppers will take the water tower stage at 6pm. Check out a sample of this hard-driving old time string band here.

The Venue The American Tobacco Campus is arguably one of the top venues in the Triangle for enjoying an outdoor concert in an intimate and family-friendly atmosphere. Ample parking and five fine eateries surround the lawn: Cuban Revolution, Tyler’s Taproom, Mellow Mushroom and Saladelia.
Kids are welcome on the lawn where families can enjoy the Ole Bull River that runs through the middle of the campus. As a courtesy to your neighbors, no dogs or coolers please.

The Back Porch Music Series is one of several FREE summer events at American Tobacco. Under the umbrella of the On the Lawn Presented by Whole Foods Market line-up, the Back Porch Music Series joins Movies on the Lawn on the line-up. The summer has already brought Pops for Pops on Father’s Day and Red, White, Blues & Bluegrass on July 4th.
