Over 650 cyclists converge on downtown Durham on July 16th to kick-off the 4th annaul Bull Moon Ride with the Durham Bulls. |
Over 650 cyclists raised over $30,000 for the fourth annual Habitat Bull Moon Ride at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Saturday, July 16, 2011. The event benefitted Habitat for Humanity of Durham.
DBBC’s Sponsorship Services Coordinator Molly Boyce captured the event perfectly with her comments for capcom:

DBBC’s Mary Beth Warfford (left) & DBBC’s Matt DeMargel worked alongside Boyce to organize & promote the Bull Moon Ride…and then hoped on their bikes to ride along. |
“It makes me proud to be an employee of a company that embodies the importance of giving back to our community. The Bull Moon Ride is one example of what teamwork can do for those in need. Habitat for Humanity of Durham is a key organization that takes on ending homelessness and the Durham Bulls are proud to aid in their efforts. The event was more than just a bike ride for 600 riders through Durham on a clear, summer night…it was an event to change the lives of families in need forever. I look forward to being apart of the Habitat Bike Committee again next year.”
Capitol Sports Vice President George Habel gave the event some online ink in his blog, Note to Self. Check out what Habel had to say here.
Thanks to DBBC’s Matt DeMargel, Mary Beth Warfford & George Habel for these capcom photos.
