In celebrating the holidays, WMYT, “My TV12” will once again be airing 20 straight hours of holiday cheer to our viewers this year with The Yule Log fire.
Picking up on a tradition started by a New York TV Station, WMYT-TV will begin broadcasting a crackling fireplace with Christmas music at 4pm on Christmas Eve and continue until Noon on Christmas Day.
“The Yule Log will serve as a holiday card to WMYT, ‘My TV12’ viewers and to thank them for supporting our station,” said WMYT, My TV12’s” Vice President and General Manager, Shawn Harris. “The Yule Log” was created in 1966 as a televised Christmas gift to those residents of ‘The Big Apple’ who lived in apartments and homes without fireplaces. Now, our viewers can enjoy it too.”
WMYT was the first Charlotte area TV or cable station to broadcast The Yule Log. This will be the 5th consecutive year that WMYT has broadcast the Yule Log.
