Miranda Lambert to Headline “CMT on Tour” This Fall at the DBAP Tour Features Special Guest Eric Church and Introducing Josh Kelley

The Durham Bulls have announced Texas singer/songwriter Miranda Lambert is coming to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park as the headlining act for CMT ON TOUR: MIRANDA LAMBERT REVOLUTION on Thursday, October 14th at 6:30 PM.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 23rd at 10:00 AM on Durhambulls.com, at 919.687.BULL or at the Durham Bulls Box Office. Special Guest Eric Church and newcomer Josh Kelley will also be performing that evening.
Following a year full of impressive accolades and her first ever headlining tour, Miranda Lambert is prepared to hit the road again this fall as the headlining act. When Lambert won top female honors for both the ACM and CMT Awards earlier this year, her first reaction was “shock” followed by gratefulness.
It wasn’t until she hit the road again on her first headlining tour that the gravity of her astounding accomplishments hit home and an overwhelming sense of responsibility set in. That responsibility to deliver a live show even better than she was already known for is what fans will witness as Lambert headlines CMT’s ninth annual tour.
“Having that Texas club circuit experience at an early age and also touring with some of the best in the business for several years, I know what it takes to bring it every night and give fans more than their money’s worth,” says Lambert. “The CMT Tour is a great way for me to thank fans for their support this year and show them I can live up to the honors.”
Church added, “I’m very excited to be on what I believe will be one of the best tours going out this fall. I’ve been on a lot of tours and this one is gonna be the heat! I love what Miranda does and we are gonna take the stage every night locked and cocked. The crowd better be ready for it, cause we are!”
The nationwide tour kicks off in New York on September 29, and will cross 28 cities. Produced by AEG Live, previous CMT Tours have featured such superstars as Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland and Keith Urban.

A Three-time GRAMMY® nominee and platinum-selling recording artist, Lambert recently added her first CMT Award to an already impressive list of accolades she’s received this year.
The fan-voted CMT Award for Female Video of the Year joins Miranda’s recent ACM wins for Album of the Year (Revolution), Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year (White Liar).
Her second single from Revolution, “The House That Built Me,” held the Number 1 position for 4 straight weeks. It follows “White Liar” which was Miranda’s first career No.1 single. Miranda is slathering on the southern charm with her newest single, “Only Prettier.”
Revolution, her critically-acclaimed third album, has quickly surpassed the Gold sales mark after debuting at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Album Charts making her one of four artists in country music history whose first three albums landed the top position right out of the box.
It received rare perfect reviews from countless publications including four stars from Rolling Stone and USA Today, an ‘A’ from Entertainment Weekly and exuberant praise from the New York Times, SPIN, the Washington Post and more.
Many have proclaimed Revolution the “Best Album of the Year” in any genre including the Houston Chronicle and NPR’s All Things Considered.
In 2008, Miranda Lambert first won the coveted ACM Album of the Year and in 2007 the ACM Best New Female Award.
EMI Records Nashville’s Eric Church, who recently graced the cover of Billboard magazine, has produced two consecutive Top 10s from his critically acclaimed sophomore album Carolina. Known for his rowdy, energy-packed live shows, he recently wrapped his own sold out headlining tour. His latest single “Smoke a Little Smoke” is currently at country radio and is his fastest rising single to date.
Singer-songwriter Josh Kelley recently completed his first country album, and his first single “Georgia Clay” is expected to impact country radio August 9th. After experiencing much musical acclaim on six previous studio albums including For the Ride Home, he signed with Universal Music Group’s Nashville MCA imprint in 2009. A Georgia native, Kelley declared he finally feels at home, having found his roots in country music.
