President/COO | Board of Directors
James F. Goodmon, Jr. (“Jimmy”) is a life-long broadcaster with a passion for the business. He has spent the last 25 years working in various roles at multiple CBC entities.
Executive Vice President | Board of Directors
Michael is fourth generation in CBC leadership, and heads both the real estate and baseball divisions of CBC, with locations in Durham, Rocky Mount and Holly Springs, NC.
Vice President and General Counsel | Board of Directors
Jennifer brings years of experience to her role as Vice President and General Counsel at CBC. She currently serves on the board at Fathom Holdings Inc.
Vice President of Finance & Chief Financial Officer | Board of Directors
Tim joined the Capitol Broadcasting team at the end of March 2023. He has worked in Finance and Planning Analysis, auditing, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Vice President, Baseball Operations
Mike Birling joined the CBC family in 1998 as the Assistant General Manager for the Durham Bulls. He was promoted to General Manager in December 2002 and then to Vice President of Baseball Operations in November 2017.
Vice President | Human Resources
Angie’s professional career in human resources has spanned over the last 25 years. She administers and coordinates development and implementation of policies and procedures for CBC.
Vice President & General Manager, WRAL-TV
Joel came to WRAL/WRAZ from San Diego, where he served as Vice President and General Manager of KGTV-TV, the ABC affiliate in the nation’s 28th largest DMA.
Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility
Loretta oversees community relations, charitable grants and sponsorships, employee engagement, and the company’s diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) strategy alongside HR.
Vice President of Digital
Chris oversees CBC’s portfolio of websites and apps along with its digital marketing and creative agencies. He also serves on the board for Local Media Association.
Vice President of Real Estate
As Vice President of Real Estate, Mark oversees CBC’s approximately 3 million square feet of completed real estate projects and future development pipeline within the company. 
Vice President, Radio
In February 2024, Brian earned a promotion to Vice President of CBC’s Radio Division which includes MIX 101.5, 99.9 The Fan, 620 The Buzz and 95.7 That Station in Raleigh, as well as the cluster of radio stations under CBC’s Sunrise Broadcasting umbrella in Wilmington.

Pam’s professional career in Human Resources and Training spans multiple international industries. She leads the People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Training, and internal communications strategies for CBC.
