CBC Sports Radio stations added HD counterparts this spring,  but 99.9 The Fan and 620 The Buzz are making more positive changes this summer  and fall.       
Starting Monday, July 30, 2012, Mark and Mike’s Morning Show  will be expanding to the 5am to 9am time slot on 620 The Buzz.  The 5am hour will also be airing on 99.9 The  Fan.  Mark Thomas and Mike Maniscalco, The  Insiders, debate everything from college football to Tiger Woods to hockey  trades and everything in between.
Speaking of the gridiron, Steve Logan will be joining the  team this football season.  Coach Logan will sit in with Adam and Joe on  Friday’s during the 4 PM hour to talk college and pro football.   He  will join Mark and Mike during the 7 AM hour on Mondays to review the weekend’s  action.  Additionally Coach Logan will host 99.9 The Fan’s Saturday  “Gameday Live” program. 
“Coach Logan has the unique ability to take the football  knowledge that he has gained throughout his years of coaching and present it in  an entertaining and energetic manor,” said CBC Sports Radio Operations  Manager/Program Director Jason Dixon.  “He  will be a solid compliment to the great football content that our regular hosts  are generating.”
The stations are putting the finishing touches on their high  school football coverage plan which will include a game of the week, a weekly  high school football show, and reports throughout the week.
In even more news, CBC Sports Radio has re-upped with Chuck  Kaiton and John Forslund to provide hockey analysis for the stations.  Kaiton  will join Mark and Mike the day of every weekday home game, and will be on with  Adam and Joe the weekday after every game.   Forslund will be on with  Mark and Mike the day after each game and with Adam and Joe the afternoon of  every weekday home game.   Forslund will also continue his role as a  contributor to The Aftermath after each Canes game.
CBC Sports Radio has also expanded their weekend local  programming.  Erroll Reese, Bill Murphy and K-Mac host “The Sports Shop”  each Saturday morning from 9am to 11am.  It the first few weeks of the  show guests have included: Oregon State Head Basketball Coach (and brother of  First Lady Michelle Obama) Craig Robinson, NBA star Jerry Stackhouse, and  Charlotte Bobcats President Fred Whitfield.
