Waltye Rasulala Transfers to the A.J. Fletcher Foundation



Congratulations to Waltye Rasulala, who is transferring to the A.J. Fletcher Foundation, after 19 years of service as Public Affairs Manager for WRAL-TV. Waltye’s new position will be Grants Coordinator with the foundation.

While Waltye worked as Public Affairs Director for WRAL-TV5, she was involved in numerous award-winning community projects. Some of her most memorable projects included: Success by Six, Project Tanzania, and Coats for the Children. Waltye produced several public affairs shows, like Carolina Saturday, Assignment Sunday, and Aware. Her most recent effort, Amazing Kids, aired on July 8, 1997.

 

Friends and associates came to a reception in her honor, June 25th, to congratulate Waltye on her new endeavor.One very special guest was her mother, Adelaide Johnson (pictured on right).
