WRAL-TV Gains NPPA Recognition

The 2nd Quarter NPPA (National Press Photographers Association) Regional Quarterly Television News Clip Contest results are in and WRAL has three winners! Chad Whisnant and Len Besthoff took second place in the Spot News category for their unique coverage of a passenger train wreck in Cary and how that
skewed the day for a Girl Scout troop. And Robert Meikle took third place in the In-Depth Category for his delightful Llama trip through the North Carolina Mountains.
