Capitol Networks’ Staff Picks Up Two AP Awards

Congratulations to Capitol Networks for winning a North Carolina Associate Press Broadcasters award for Best Sports Programming and for Best Sportscast. The Awards were handed out on Saturday, April 15 in Wilmington, NC.

The Best Sport Programming Award went to Rick Dayton and Steve Shumake for their show on Catfish Hunter, which aired just a couple days after Catfish Hunter died. It took a look back at Hunter’s life and his accomplishments. The Best Sportscast featured a sportscast from the Final Four.
