Pelicans Add To Front Office Staff
MYRTLE BEACH — The Myrtle Beach Pelicans added three employees to their front office staff. Jamie Toole is the team’s new Director of Stadium Operations, Chris Millar and Michele Dreistadt are working in the ticket department as a Ticket Sales Representatives. They started their present posts this month.
Jamie, 22, was the Pelicans Stadium Operations/Promotions Trainee during the 2000 season. While attending the University of South Carolina, Jamie worked with the Capital City Bombers, the Single-A affiliate of the New York Mets in the South Atlantic League. He worked in the Bombers’ sales department. Jamie is a Sports Administration major at USC and will be graduating in December of 2001. Jamie is from Columbia, SC.
Chris, 24, was born in Hackettstown, NJ and moved to Myrtle Beach in 1986. He graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1994 and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining the Pelicans staff, Chris worked as a Property Manager for LITUS To Let and as an Office Assistant with McAllister Law Firm. Both businesses are located in Myrtle Beach.
Michele, 22, joined the Pelicans from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons, the Triple-A affiliate for the Philadelphia Phillies. She worked as a Promotions Assistant for the Red Barons during the ’99 and ’00 seasons. Michele graduated from Bloomsburg (PA) University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Mass Communication. Michele is from Moosic, PA.
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are vying for a “three-peat” as the Carolina League’s Champion when the 2001 season begins on April 6 versus the Winston-Salem Warthogs. Season ticket packages and group tickets are on sale now. Individual game tickets will be available for purchase on Saturday, March 10 beginning at 10 AM at Coastal Federal Field.
