Pelicans Fest 2001 Individual Game Tickets Go On Sale
MYRTLE BEACH, SC — The Myrtle Beach Pelicans begin the sale of their individual game tickets, including Opening Night, with Pelicans Fest 2001 at Coastal Federal Field on Saturday, March 10 from 10 AM to 2 PM. In addition to ticket sales, Pelicans Fest features a variety of activities for all ages, and the event’s admission is free.
Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in such in-between inning promotions as Sumo Wrestling, Big Glove Boxing, and Off With Your Head. The field will be open for anyone wishing to run the bases or bring their gloves to play catch. The pitching machine will be set up allowing fans to catch pop-ups. One can test the velocity of their pitches at the Speed Pitch.
The Pelicans will hold open tryouts for the singing of the National Anthem. This includes all singers and instrumentalists. The Pelicans mascots Splish, Splash and Dinger the Home Run Dog will attend the event. The Pelican Pro Shop will feature all 2000 styles at rock-bottom prices including game worn jerseys.
All food served will be free of charge. Papa John’s Pizza and Heavenly Ham, two of Coastal Federal Field’s newest food vendors, are among the providers at Pelicans Fest. The baseball atmosphere would not be complete without hot dogs and peanuts provided by Berk’s and Houston’s, respectively. Wash it all down with ice cold Pepsi products (while supplies last).
Cumulus Broadcasting will feature three live radio remotes. “K Country 103.1” will be live from 11 AM to 1 PM, “Pirate 100 the beach’s rock station” will be live from 11 AM to 1 PM and “Oldies Radio Sunny 106.5” will be live from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Pelicans Fest 2001 is the first opportunity to purchase individual game tickets in person. However, the Pelicans individual game tickets first become available for purchase on March 4 at 12:01 AM on the Pelicans web site www.myrtlebeachpelicans.com. All ticket related questions are answered by calling 843-918-6000 or via e-mail to info@myrtlebeachpelicans.com.
The Pelicans quest for a “three-peat” begins on Friday, April 6 versus the Winston-Salem Warthogs (Chicago White Sox) with the first pitch slated for 7:05 PM.
