Bulls FanFest 2002 Rescheduled For This Weekend |
The Bulls Fanfest 2002, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd, has been postponed due to the inclement weather expected in the Durham area. The event has been rescheduled for the following Saturday, March 9th, from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The Durham Bulls will kick-off a season of celebrations for its 100th Anniversary season this Saturday, March 9, 2002, with Bulls Fanfest 2002. Festivities will last from 9:00am – 2:00pm at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in downtown Durham. Fans can purchase individual game tickets for the exhibition game between the Tampa Bays Devil Rays and the Bulls slated for Saturday, March 30th as well as tickets for all regular season home games in April and May. These individual tickets went on sale, Saturday, March 2nd.
Bulls Fanfest 2002 will give fans a chance to try out the inflatable speed pitch, and kids can slide on the inflatable slide. The first 400 fans in attendance can also step up to the plate between noon and 2:00pm for a chance to bat; the first one to hits the famous “Hit Bull, Win Steak” snorting bull in left field will win $100,000.
North American Sumo Wrestling Champion James Perry will be on hand to sign autographs, and Wool E. Bull will be on hand with free balloons and games for younger fans.
Open auditions will be held for National Anthem Singers during Fanfest 2002 between 10:00am – noon. Participants register upon arrival and perform on a “first come, first serve” basis.
Prizes will be given away during the event, including a brand new car from Michael Jordan Nissan. Other drawings will be held throughout the afternoon, sponsored by the Durham Bulls and WDCG 105.1 FM.
Ticket prices for the Bulls 100th anniversary season are: Field Reserved $6.50, Terrace Reserved $6.00, Terrace View $5.50, Diamond View $4.50, and Lawn $4.50. Children, seniors and US Military receive a $1 discount in Diamond View and Lawn. Children 5 and under, that do not occupy a seat, are free throughout the ballpark.
