WRAL Reporter Receives Orange County Award |
WRAL-TV Reporter Amanda Lamb |
WRAL-TV Reporter Amanda Lamb recently received recognition from the Orange County Disability Awareness Council. During its celebration of the 12th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act during the week of July 29, 2002, the organization awarded Lamb its Electronic Media Award. The award recognized Lamb for her outstanding coverage of disability matters.
“Every year they award people in the community who they believe help educate others and sheds light on the problems people with disabilities face,” said Lamb. “I have done stories on people with disabilities for years. The most recent story that they picked up on was one about people with Multiple Sclerosis using service dogs to help their mobility and balance.”
The Orange County Disability Awareness Council is a nonprofit, volunteer citizens action group dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities in Orange County.
