Bulls To Kick Off Season Opener Celebrating Champions

Defending International League champs , the Durham Bulls will open their sixth season as a Triple-A club tonight, Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 7pm at home vs. the Norfolk Tides. Dubbed “Night of Champions” opening night will feature local rock band “The Flood” with a 6pm concert and then a Champions Parade on the field 20 minutes before gametime.

Local high school state champions, collegiate National Champions and the WUSA Champion Carolina Courage will be honored and take part in the procession. A champion in her own right, eleven-time Grammy winner Shirley Caesar will kick off the game by singing the National Anthem.

This past Monday, March 31, the players and coaching staff came out to meet the fans at Hi5 restaurant in downtown Raleigh with a private session for season ticket holders before meeting the general public.
