On Wednesday, January 19, 2005, Triangle residents experienced an unprecedented traffic tie-up due to the unexpected snowfall. Many people were left stranded, including our children. School bus drivers went above and beyond the call of duty to care for our children, getting them home safely.
In appreciation of their concern and dedication, MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM and Golden Corral thanked school bus drivers throughout the Triangle by inviting them to dine free at Golden Corral over the weekend following the storm.
All Triangle area school bus drivers will enjoy a complimentary breakfast, lunch or dinner and beverage at any Golden Corral in Wake, Durham and Johnston Counties on the weekend of January 21-23. School bus drivers only needed to show their proper school identification to receive a complimentary meal.
Golden Corral is a Raleigh, North Carolina based family buffet restaurant. To find the Golden Corral nearest you, visit www.goldencorralrest.com. “Everyone deserves a good meal” – especially the Triangle school bus drivers for taking care of our children!
Thanks to WRAL-FM’s Paige Ellis for this capcom story.
