Former WRAL-TV Anchor Charlie Gaddy and a crew of the station’s staffers stopped in Harnett County, the latest leg of the WRAListens tour. Representatives from the county met with WRAL at Barclay Villa, a castle located in Angier.
Gaddy facilitated the informal town meeting among a diverse group of Harnett County residents. They discussed a wide variety of local issues at the gathering on January 12, 2005.
Panelists included Bart Adams, editor of The Daily Record; Harriet Ray, a Harnett County Planning Board member and community volunteer; Leonard Arnold, retired superintendent of Harnett County Schools; Jennifer Walker, county extension director; and Enrique Torres, regional manager, among others.

The WRAListens Tour is a series of town meetings throughout/covering the WRAL viewing area to discuss community issues and how WRAL can address these issues in daily newscasts and public affairs programming. Each meeting is recorded and edited to air at a later date in the form of a half-hour public affairs program.
WRAListens Harnett County will air on WRAL-TV on Thursday, January 27, at 7:30pm.
