CBC President & CEO Jim Goodmon received another award for his forward thinking in the broadcasting field. The Broadcasters’ Foundation presented Goodmon with a 2005 Pioneer Award on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at the National Association of Broadcasters’ convention in Las Vegas. Goodmon received the honor with many of his fellow CBC employees in attendance at a breakfast at the Bellagio Hotel.

“Broadcast localism and technological advancement have been the defining goals for Goodmon during his nearly three decades of leadership as President of Capitol Broadcasting Company in Raleigh,” reads the Broadcasters’ Foundation’s tribute to Goodmon. “During that time CBC has remained on the forefront of broadcast innovation and committed service to the community.”
