Senior Citizens in the Triangle have always enjoyed a fun day at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, but on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, they’ll get a deal like never before.
The Durham Bulls have teamed up with Humana to create Senior Day for the team’s 1pm game against the Buffalo Bisons, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. Not only will senior citizens receive $1.00 off their Diamond View ticket price, but the first 500 seniors will get a free hot dog and soda courtesy of Humana.
“Afternoon baseball and free lunch at the ballpark, that’s a deal we expect a lot of senior citizens will take advantage of,” Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said, “We appreciate Humana’s partnership on this event and look forward to more in the future.”
Along with Senior Day, Humana has scheduled a second event on Sunday, May 22nd at the DBAP playing off the popular “Kids Run the Bases” promotion. Following the 5:00 PM game, grandparents are invited to join the kids as they take the field to run the bases.
