While the Pelicans added to their lead in the 3rd inning, the fans were busy at work in the stands, breaking the World Record for “Most Groucho Marx Glasses Worn at the Same Time.” 1,827 fans simultaneously donned the funny looking glasses for 15 minutes, nearly doubling the previous record of 937.

Groucho GlassesStudents and staff from East Lansing High School, Michigan set the former record on May 23, 2003. The first 2,500 fans at Tuesday’s game were guaranteed to receive a set of glasses for the World Record attempt.
