The American Tobacco Historic District has recently redesigned web site |
Along with the groundbreaking for the American Tobacco Historic District’s Phase II of construction and renovation, the campus in downtown Durham launched an updated version of its Web site.
The site includes the artistic photo gallery of local artist Ben Casey as he recorded the progress of converting the abandoned warehouses into a thriving business center. Sections devoted to history and a listing of Durham businesses and organizations are also included on the site.
In addition to the updated look, the site contains multi-media files complete with a slide show and documentary about American Tobacco. Visitors to the site can see the past and present come together, learning about the 16-acre campus from its heyday in tobacco production to CBC’s rescue of the dilapidated warehouses during the past few years.
